Dr. Rah-Taja Doggett


Dr. Rah-Taja Doggett was born September 28, 1989 in Lufkin, TX.  She is a 2008 graduate of Lufkin High School. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2012.  Dr. Doggett worked as a case manager for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas before attending graduate school and dental school. She has always enjoyed working with children and desired tocontinue working with pediatric patients in underserved populations. In 2018, she received a Master’s in Biology Medical Sciences from Mississippi College and continued her studies at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2022. Dr. Doggett completed her Pediatric Dental residency at NYU Langone Hospitals in Holyoke, Massachusetts in June of 2024.

While in attendance at TUSDM, Dr. Doggett participated on SNDA’s e-board, on ASDA district one’s team as Vice Chair of advocacy. She also volunteered for many community service activities like Boston Living Center, American Heart Association and Give Kids a Smile. She was inducted into Tufts University’s Honus Civicus Society for outstanding community service.  While in residency; Dr. Doggett continued to serve the community by volunteering with back to school drives, health drives and dental programs at surrounding Western Massachusetts’ schools that focused on dental education and oral hygiene.

Dr. Doggett is the eldest of three and an Aunt. She loves spending time with family and friends. In her spare time, Dr. Rah-Taja enjoys fashion/shopping, traveling and trying new restaurants.
